Most people who are part of the internet marketing scene know who Mike Dillard is, but for those of you who don't, he is the creator of Magnetic Sponsoring, Black Belt Recruiting and MLM Traffic Formula. These are the top training tools out there to help a person become successful in network marketing. So is it any wonder that many people would love to be Mike Dillard!
However, if you are not in the internet marketing business, perhaps you could replace his name with the name of a very successful person that you think very highly of. Between us all, we would probably end up with a long list of very successful people, in various types of businesses.
Let's assume just for now though, that it is Mike Dillard that we all want to be. Now ask yourself the question -- why do I want to be him? What is there about him that would make me want to give up my own identity? Well, the first thing that comes to my mind is that he is super successful at what he does and he is well respected and a very likeable person. He also has a huge following.
Let's think about this a little further. Just imagine if we were all clones of Mike Dillard. No disrespect to Mike, but what a boring world that would be. As human beings, we actually thrive on variety. Just think of your closest friends. No doubt each one of them has a unique personality and that's one of the reasons why you were drawn to them.
When we examine this a little further, we find that it's not really Mike Dillard that we want to be. No, we don't want to be him....we want to have what he has!! I think we all know however, that life is not a free ride, we all have to walk our own walk and no one is going to do it for us.
Here is the best part though---even though we can't be Mike Dillard, we can all learn to do what he and other successful people have done. These people that we admire are usually more than happy to share their abundant knowledge with the rest of us. Sometimes there might be a cost to this, but quite often they give away a lot of free information. Do a little research and you will find lots written about these people and their life story. You can learn how they reached their goals and achieved so much.
They can't do it for you, but they can show you the way!
Experts tell us that there are so many people out there who are just waiting to meet us. According to the Law of Attraction, we put a vibe out into the Universe, and thereby attract people to us who are on the same 'wavelength'. We are going to be the person that they relate to because of various things we might have in common. Just imagine, if you and Mike were standing side by side and they had to made a choice, they would choose you. This is how the Law of Attraction works.
So let's not waste our time dreaming about being someone other than the person we are. Let's continue to develop our own unique identity and similar people will be drawn to us, because we will strike a chord with them. That doesn't mean that we can't learn everything we possibly can from people that have reached the level of success that we are striving for. Learn their methods and integrate them into your life and business.
I am a firm believer in the Law of Abundance, which states that there is more than enough to go around for everyone, so go ahead, be yourself and step right up and claim your 'piece of the pie'.
