Most people disregard them entirely by hitting the "back" button or closing the page. Be sure that your site is easily navigable. If a person visits your site, and they can't find a "click now" or a "Buy" button, they may just say "Forget it!!" and take their business elsewhere. Most web designers put their navigation bar on the left side of the page to make it easier for people to find, because most people read from left to right.
When someone views your page, make it easier for them to get to different parts of the site, or back to the beginning. They should also know exactly where they are on the site. Put an easy-to-find link on every page that sends your visitors back to the home page, or you can also provide Web links to relevant information.
Take a look at your site and observe its loading time. Webmasters can reduce the amount of time it takes for their site to load by not putting as many graphics on each page. Many folks are annoyed by highly graphic web pages that take FOREVER to load, because they want their information instantly.
Another important thing to consider is your web page's font. It's vital that you pick a font that's easy on the eyes. This is a big deal if you're marketing to the older segment of the population. Web browsers display fonts differently, so you'll want to choose one that will work with the most widely-used browsers.
Different web browsers display fonts in different ways. Use a font that's compatible with the most popular web browsers. It would be a shame to pick a nice fancy font, and have it not work with Firefox or Internet Explorer.
